Joel tells KISS about the lyrics. “We’ve always talked about our parents and our life growing up, kind of like the harder times. But we never really talked about the good times when they were in love. So the song goes back to the year we were born and paints a picture of what it must’ve been like back then.” Apparently it made their folks cry. Adorbs.
