Filming For Disney’s Disenchanted Has Wrapped

The fairytale is over

Well, all good things must come to an end. And this time, it’s the turn of production for Disney movie Disenchanted.

Irish people up and down the country have been flocking to the small town of Enniskerry to catch a glimpse at the magical set for themselves, and now in just a matter of days the village will be left without a trace of Hollywood being there at all.

In a facebook post Gardai confirmed that filming wrapped up on Wednesday, the 21st of July. During filming the town was transformed into a magical wonderland, with shop fronts painted pastel colours, castles erected, and flower decorations spread throughout.

“Last scene shot yesterday in Enniskerry,” the post read.

“Farewell to Disney, farewell to lots of Goofy parking, to eating Minnie ice creams and to the Buzz of so many cars and to lots of happy memories for so many visitors.”

The Hollywood star presence for the movie has been just as magical as the set itself, as both Patrick Dempsey and Maya Rudolph have been taking in all of the sight’s Ireland has to offer.

Most recently, Patrick was spotted jetting off to one of the Aran Islands Inis Man, where he went sightseeing in the glorious sunshine.

Patrick has not been shy in sharing his Irish experience over on his Instagram account either, documenting all of his adventures and even donning an Aran Jumper for part of his duration.

Filming might be over, but you’re welcoming to come back anytime you like, Patrick!
