We get a hold of our fave celebs and ask them some pressing questions to find out everything you want to know. We take one for the team and get nosey, probing for some seriously cheeky info with our seven rapid-fire questions. This week, it’s Blake Richardson from New Hope Club. He chats about staying positive, stage fright and his ultimate celeb crush.

What’s one thing you’re passionate about right now?

Right now I have quite a few! In a crazy time like this the boys and I are really trying to spread positivity and give people things to watch and be entertained by as it’s a hard time for everyone, and if we can help get someone through their day then I’m happy.
My other main focus at the moment is definitely writing and producing new music. I’ve really been taking the opportunity to crack on with this whilst in lockdown as it’s rare for us to be in one place for such a long time!

Who is your ultimate celeb crush?
My first celeb crush was Vanessa Hudgens in High School Musical. I honestly wanted to be in those films and I feel no shame!

Describe your first kiss in 3 words?
Sweet, nervous, embarrassing

If you had to work but didn’t need the money what would you choose to do?
The answer would still be music. Money has never been a driving force in my mentality. I just want to make music that is unique, and that people feel something when they listen to it. I love it.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?
That’s a hard one but what sticks out to me as my most embarrassing moments would be when I used to play guitar and sing in my school assemblies. I would always feel so sick and nervous before playing because you knew all of your friends would be watching.

Tell us a secret about yourself?
I feel like The Club knows pretty much everything… they might not know that I had soup for dinner last night though… actually they probably do haha!

If you could give your 16-year-old self one piece of advice what would it be?

I would just say to believe in yourself and to stand by the vision you have for New Hope Club. It’s gonna be a rollercoaster!
