Using: Seoulista Beauty Glossy Locks Hair Mask
I recently tried out the Seoulista Glossy Locks hair mask and let me tell you, I am obsessed. You just pop it on your hair and wrap it tight, after shampooing, then rinse it out after about 15 minutes. My hair is feeling so soft and silky and smells gorgeous too! I will be stocking up on these! They’re about €12 in pharmacies. The same brand also recently launched a silky locks hair wrap which is a handy, super soft little head towel to dry your hair naturally. I feel like this wrap (€16) along with the mask is a winning combination for gorge hair!
Using: Dirty Works shower products
Speaking of showers, and pampering, I recently tried out Dirty Works products which includes things like shower gel, body lotion and bath soak. I love loads of bath and shower products but this one really stands out to me as it smells amazing. Picture a fresh, summer, coconut scent ad a lovely soft texture. The products, available in pharmacies like McCabes and McCauleys are so affordable too with products starting at as little as €2..

You’ve probably seen the ads and the posts about how great Caramilk is. As it was hugely popular over in Australia and now they’ve brought it to Ireland. It’s a creamy, smooth chocolate that is a sweet combination of white chocolate and caramel. If you’re a white chocolate fan already you’ll love this!
Shopping: On Monki
I am obsessed with Monki and it’s probably currently my favourite place to shop. I made quite large order from them the other day, but was devo when the item I was most excited about got cancelled as it sold out. I searched Asos and then Zalando (which both have Monki products) and eventually found the sweater vest again. It has just arrived and let me tell you, I am obsessed and already planning all the outfits I’m going to wear it with!

Watching: Schitt’s Creek
I’ve said it before and I’m saying it again, I have zero attention span right now so all I’m watching are either reruns, or shows that simply don’t require a lot of brain work. So, of course, while I’m patiently waiting for season four of The Bold Type, I’ve been enjoying Schitt’s Creek AGAIN. This is probably the third time I’ve watched it, but it’s the perfect show to switch off to, or have on in the background to give you a laugh every few minutes.
If you haven’t watched it just yet, put it on your to-do list right now. You’ll forever be quoting Alexis, David and Moira – the absolute stars of the show.
Listening to: Vicky Pattison’s The Secret To…
Lately, I’m loving chatty podcasts, they’re my go to. Vicky Pattison’s podcast is all about the chats, with a different guest on each week to chat about everything and everything. From Love Island’s Dr Alex George to Jordan Banjo, there’s literally something for everyone. With plenty of episodes too, you’ll be spoiled for choice.
On my must-buy list: The Head Plan Gratitude Journal
I love lists, stationery, or anything that makes me feel as if I have my life together. But the new Gratitude Journal from The Head Plan feels like it’s just gonna hit different. It’s packed with guidance and prompts throughout to help with your journaling process, along with daily gratitude pages, where you can document your big wins and positive thoughts, keeping you focused throughout the day. Every little helps, amirite?
Obsessed with: the Kash Beauty Colour Trip palette
View this post on Instagram
This is the first palette in a LONG time that honestly made me gasp out loud. Kash Beauty knock it out of the park with each launch, but the Colour Trip palette just hits different. When it arrived, I had to get it on my face immediately. A gorgeous collection of shades, from matte to shimmers – and if that’s not even, it also has ten water-activated eyeliners. Honestly, it’s just beautiful. Check it out here.

At the end of July/beginning of August, myself and my boyfriend took a week off work to explore the West of Ireland and it was amazing. I think so many Irish people don’t bother exploring the country we live in, myself included, because when you think ‘holidays’ you think of sunshine and sea, and most of the time that means traveling abroad.

But of course, the pandemic has thrown an absolute spanner into the works with usual holidays and instead of hopping on a plane once a year we’ve had to rethink things. I’ll be honest, if it wasn’t for COVID I likely would have never traveling Ireland in the way that I have, and for that I’m thankful, because we really do live in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Some highlights of the trip for me include Slea Head Drive in Kerry, The Cliffs of Moher in Clare, and dipping my toes into the crystal clear sea in Inishmore.
Reading: My Policeman
It’s not often I read a book that completely grips me (I’m the Queen of ‘DNF’ing’ books this year, a resolution I made at the beginning of 2021) but this one had me HOOKED.
Hearing the commotion made about the upcoming movie for it, starring Harry Styles and Emma Corrin, I knew I wanted to read the book before the movie comes out. It’s a heartbreaking story about love, queerness, and a suffocating society. I read it in just a few sittings and found myself unable to focus on anything until I knew what exactly was going to happen in the end.
Obsessed With: Camille Rowe’s Style
Cammile’s ‘7 days 7 looks’ with Vogue popped up on my YouTube recommendations and oh my am I glad I watched it. I didn’t know too much about Camille Rowe prior to her dating Harry Styles, which is awful, but I’m now obsessed with her and everything she wears.
She merges Parisian chic and laidback Californian so effortlessly, she’s the queen of re-wearing the same pieces in different ways, and she nails the quicky staples every wardrobe should have. I have no other choice but to stan.
Listening To: ‘Unpopped’
I only began listening to podcasts during 2020 when we were all stuck at home, and since then I’ve grown to become a little dependant on them. I could never have a shower or cook a dinner without something to listen to in the background again. My favourite go-to pod for a long time was ‘The High Low’ presented by Dolly Alderton and Pandora Sykes, but I quickly made my way through that and have been looking for a pop culture podcast to replace it since.
Recently I came across ‘Unpopped’ which covers an array of popular topics from RuPaul’s Drag Race to Paris Hilton, so it’s right up my street. If you enjoy anything trashy, celeby, or even just want something new to listen to I recommend giving this a go!
