Don’t mind me, I’m just over here still scrolling through last night’s Met Gala looks. We’ve all seen the outfits themselves (check out some of the must-see Met Gala looks here), but now it’s time to go in on the details. In particular, the makeup.

There was plenty to see, from glowing skin to neon liner, there was literally something for everyone. But someone who really stood out was Billie Eilish, everything about her look, from her hair and makeup to the dress itself just screamed elegant and glam in one breath.

Now, her makeup artist, Rob Rumsey, has shared all of the details of Billie’s look – so obviously, we’re HERE for it.

Speaking to Seventeen, Rob revealed that it took about an hour for Billie’s whole look, including the gorge smokey eye. Using all Charlotte Tilbury products, you may not have the full face in your makeup bag already, but you can certainly add a product or two to your wishlist.

“I always start with eyes when they’re a little dramatic,” he explained, and to do that, he used the Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Eye Palettes in The Golden Goddess and The Sophisticate to sculpt and shape Billie’s smokey eye look. Then, for the smokiness itself, he lined and snudged Billie’s eyes with the Rock n Kohl liner in Bedroom Black.

But what about the complexion? Well, Rob shared the one step that he just “can’t skip”, and that’s exfoliating the lips and applying moisturiser for a smooth and flawless base.

“For skin, I buffed a light foundation on with a tiny bit of concealer where needed. I swiped a bit of Blush in Pillow Talk on the apples of her cheek then filled her gorgeous lips in with Iconic Nude Lip Liner and dabbed a little Runway Royalty in the centre.”

He then added, “to finish, I dusted the skin with the new Supernudes Face Palette in Nudegasm to give dimension and glow.”

All of that resulted in Billie’s gorgeous Met Gala look. While they’re pretty pricey products, you can always opt for dupes instead. The Sculpted By Aimee Connolly Tara Dual Ended Eyeliner Pencil is just as nice as the CT eye pencil, while the Milani Baked Blush is a fab alternative for the blush.
