Welcome to the Team KISS list. We know that after weeks and weeks of lockdown, we’re finally getting back to some form of normality. But while it’s going to be a different kind of normal, we’re all still a bit apprehensive, kind of bored and a bit frustrated still, understandably.
So, team KISS is sharing some of our favourite things we’ve done/watched/used in the last week to give you some inspo’ and help you to get to know us better.

Buying: new runners
I went to Penneys for the first time since before lockdown and got all the essentials. Socks, underwear, hair ties, my favourite Catrice and Essence beauty bits (they both do brilliant mascaras!). I had been on the hunt for white runners I could wear with dresses and midi-skirts for ages now and found the perfect pair in Topshop (on sale too!). They look a little like Veja’s without the hefty price tag so I was delighted.
I went to visit my mom and family down in Galway for the weekend and went for a swim in the sea. I know it sounds cheesy but It’s just so good for the soul! It’s the one thing I find hard about living in Dublin nowhere near the sea! I grew up on Inis Mór which is an island so I’m a mermaid at heart.
Eating: More veggie dishes
I want to eat more veggie dishes going forward so I made sure to plan for two vegetarian dinners this week. This includes a curry and some bean burgers which I learned how to make from my mom. If it all goes well I’ll share the recipe in a future Team KISS post!

A gorge little staycation. I’m not expecting to go anywhere near the airport this year, so I’m planning on heading off on a gorge little staycation pretty soon. At the minute, we’re looking at a couple of nights in Galway just to go enjoy something a little different after staying in our Dublin apartment as much as possible over the last few months. I’m already looking forward to Dough Bros pizza!
Way to Beauty tan. I’m a massive fan of fake tan, I won’t be spotted out and about without it. So when I got the chance to try out the new Way to Beauty tan, I was all over it. The range has pretty much everything you would ever want, from mousses to a body polish, and everything in between. Right now, I’m testing it out to see how it performs, so you can expect to hear what it’s like on KISS.ie pretty soon.
Fenty Beauty Flypencils. Usually, I love a classic, black winged liner. But over the past few days, I’ve been playing with a couple of different shades in the Fenty Beauty range of pencil eyeliners. One that I’ve been obsessed with is a glittery, light brown shade – not the most adventurous, but different from my usual matte black. It’s gorgeous for something a little different for a light, day time look, and really makes your eyes stand out. They’re creamy, easy to use and come in fab colours. Just make sure you don’t twist the liner all the way up, because it’s not gonna come back down!

Wearing: TOAG Dresses
I know, what the hell is a TOAG dress? TOAG stands for throw on and go, you know those dresses that you put on with a pair of boots or sandals and that’s it, your outfit is complete with minimum effort or styling. These kinds of dresses have been my go-to lately, especially with the weather getting that little bit warmer, planning and putting together an outfit is just far too much effort. Anything with a bright print or puffy sleeves is a winner in my eyes, the above Zara dress is my favourite at the minute.
Going To: The Beach
I’m really lucky and live super close to a few beaches in Dublin, which admittedly I never really spent much time at before. But, now that a summer holiday abroad won’t be happening this year I’ve been trying to lift my spirits by visiting the beaches close to me more often. I’m a cold creature so am usually quite wrapped up when I visit the beach, and could never bring myself to even dip my toe in the water, I know Megan our editor would argue otherwise! But I love breathing in the sea air and feeling the sun on my face when I’m there sans swimsuit. My dog Ringo loves the feeling of sand on his paws too, so as soon as we make it to the beach he gets the zoomies, it makes my heart soar when I watch him.
Obsessed with: Tik Tok
Soz, I really am that person. I know at 24 I’m probably too old for it, but I am fully obsessed. My FYP is filled with videos of dogs and Harry Styles so I’ll get lost on it for a good hour at a time. I was so against Tik Tok when it first began and now I just feel stupid to have wasted so much time not immersing myself in it. It makes me laugh but I also learn a lot from it, it keeps me in the loop and up-to-date with things that I otherwise wouldn’t know much about. So yeah, big BIG fan.
