Getting to see your gals can be such a struggle sometimes. With school keeping you busy all of the time, being on a different life and study schedule can really make you miss them. But there is always one solution to seeing your pals all at once, a sleepover! And what better time to organise one than the school midterm?!
No matter your age, you can never beat a good sleepover. It’s the perfect way to catch up with all of your besties and have fun together. Because even if you see them in school, you never can truly have the amount of fun you want to.
With this guide you will want to gather all of your girlies together and plan the best sleepover you will ever have!
The Guest List
Since this is going to be an A-list sleepover, you will need to compile a list of all your besties and make sure they’re free the night you’re planning it for! You can make a cute group chat with everyone to let them know basic info on the night.
But if you really want to make it extra, send out invitations! Put together super cute invites personalised to each person and attach an itinerary with the night’s plans to get everyone excited. It may seem extra but it is a super fun and adorable gesture.
This can be decided between you and your besties before the night but the most important part is the menu. This includes everything, the snacks, the dinner, AND the breakfast for the morning after the sleepover. It is hands-down the best part.
You guys can all make a list of your foods and head to the shop to get all of your snacks. Plus you can’t beat a food shop with your friends, there’s something super fun yet chaotic about it. Next is dinner, and we can guarantee that is going to be a takeaway, agree on what you both fancy, we recommend pizza.
Oh, and don’t forget the pic of the food for your Insta story too, You need to document the night so you can look back and remember how iconic it was.
One way to make it the perfect sleepover is to give it a theme. You can chat with your besties and decide on one together. Just some ideas you could do a Euphoria theme, Y2K theme, Met Gala theme, the list is endless! You can really have fun with it and just go crazy with ideas.
Once you’ve settled on a theme, you can make sure everyone is kitted out for it. So say you went with a Euphoria theme, everyone can either dress up as a character or just dress with the Euphoria vibe. Then you can all sit around and do Euphoria-style makeup looks. And what would a themed night be without a photoshoot? Dim the lights, get out the glitter, and take some killer pics of you and your besties.
Now that you have the aesthetics and the logistics down, it’s time to think about what you’re going to do with your gals at this sleepover. You can all decide this together or if you want to you can surprise them with a fun-packed night!
You can never go wrong with a game, no matter your age. If you wanted you could base games like ‘Guess Who or Who Am’ around the theme you chose for the sleepover. Or you can never go wrong with a classic game of trivia, whether it’s themed or not, it is always a crowd-pleaser!
Another thing that everyone will love is a good skincare session. Before the sleepover, you can buy cute skincare things like facemasks, eyemasks, jade rollers etc. Or you could even make your own. And after your makeup session, you can unwind by taking it off and giving your skin some much-needed love after the themed makeup look. You can even take some silly pics with the masks on to post on Insta!
The Movies/TV Shows
What would a gals sleepover be without a good movie or tv show to relax and watch? If you’ve gone for a theme, you would obviously have to watch whatever the theme is based around! If a theme isn’t your theme though, do not worry. Here is a list of movies to watch with your gals for whatever mood you’re in.
If you and your besties aren’t into movies, you can never go wrong with a tv show binge! Some of our faves to watch with the gals are Gilmore Girls (the best wholesome vibes), Gossip Girl, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Greys Anatomy, and so many more! Those are just a few amazing shows to pick from but of course, if you and your besties have a fave show then that would be the go-to!
