Little Mix The Search Postponed Due To Coronavirus Cases

Live shows were due to begin this weekend.

Little Mix The Search has been postponed due to coronavirus cases among those working on the show.

The reality show, which aims to find the next big band in the UK was due to begin live shows on Saturday on BBC.

Six bands were due to battle it out on stage on the first night on live shows.

Although Little Mix, and the bands in the competition are said to be free from coronavirus, some staff on the show have reportedly tested positive.

In a statement, BBC said: “We can confirm that a small number of people on the Little Mix The Search production have tested positive for coronavirus and they are now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines.

“Due to the format of the show, we have made the decision to postpone Saturday’s programme. There are rigorous protocols in place to manage Covid-19 as the safety of all those involved in the production is paramount. We hope to be back on air on Saturday 24 October.”

Little Mix is due to play two nights in Ireland in April at the 3Arena.
