Not Sure What To Do With Your Evenings? Here Are 6 Things To Enjoy

You've still plenty of time even though school is back.

Now that it’s time to go back to school, it can easily feel like most of your day is already gone. Although there seems to be so much to get done each evening (including homework…) it can be a lot easier to just laze about after a long day of school, admittedly watching TikTok after TikTok.

But there’s still plenty of time to both unwind and relax after school, as well as fitting in some other things to keep you entertained.

So, to keep you going, here are six things you can do each evening after school – both to keep yourself entertained and relax a bit too.

Get into an exercise routine

Even though you’ve heard it hundreds of times before, I’m gonna say it again: Exercise is super important, for both your physical and mental health. It doesn’t matter what kind of exercise it is, as long as it’s putting you in a good mood. So whether you’re part of the camogie team, prefer to go for a long walk with your earphones, put on music and dance around, or follow an actual exercise programme.

Start a long TV show

It’s so easy to fall into a TikTok hole or fit in as many YouTube videos as possible each evening, but starting a long TV show that’ll keep you going for a while can give you something to follow each evening. Perfect for those evenings when you just want to relax, or want to fill in an hour before you have to get your homework finished.

Shows like The Bold Type, ATypical, Peaky Blinders and way more, have so many episodes that you’ll get sucked into straight away.

A full evening of TLC 

TLC and self-care can look different for everyone, so whatever it is you do, it’s worth putting time aside each evening for it (or even one whole evening a week). Whether you spend a few minutes filling in your gratitude journal, spend extra time on your skincare routine, have a pamper evening with face masks and all of the body moisturiser you can apply.

Even though we’re getting back into a more normal routine, it’s more important now than ever to spend some time on yourself too.

Work on your bedroom

Don’t have the bedroom you want? Over time, spending even a small amount of time in the evenings can easily transform your bedroom. You might not be able to go all out and start painting or buying new furniture, but there’s plenty of small additions you can make to change things up.
