Many, many, good things have come from hit TV series Normal People. It’s shown us the importance of consent in intimate relationships, it normalised mental health problems, and on a lighter note, it gave us the brilliant wardrobe inspo a la lead character, Marianne.

Watching Marianne grow from a quiet school girl to a full-on college style-queen has got us lusting after a little wardrobe switch up.

While we might not be getting off to Italy anytime soon for an Italian summer of romance, sun, and pasta. We can emulate Marianne’s style at home, because why not look cute on our trips to the near-by beach or picnic with our friends?

Even luckier for us, Daisy’s on-set set stylist, Lorna Marie Mugan, said that many of Marianne’s pieces actually came from various second-hand and vintage shops around Ireland, with Dublin’s The Harlequin and Jenny Vander Vintage amongst those used for her wardrobe.

With dresses dating from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, there hasn’t been a better time to hit up your local charity or vintage shop in search of your Marianne inspired pieces.

Along with vintage, many online retailers are stocking Marianne inspired pieces too. So, to save you doing the hard work, we’ve rounded up a few of our favourite bits to get you started.
