In case you need a little refresher, when Taylor Swift released Red (Taylor’s Version), along with 10 full minutes of “All Too Well”, the internet basically roasted Jake Gyllenhaal.

The whole scarf debate was probably the main focus. But now, Swifties are convinced that he just trolled Taylor right back.

Jake Gyllenhaal appeared in a W Magazine feature recently on this year’s best acting performances. But before you ask, no he didn’t wear the scarf in the photoshoot – but he did wear was a red tshirt (okay, screaming) and a pair of red heart-eyes sunglasses that look eerily similar to the ones Taylor wore during her Red era. Again, screaming.

But on top of this, InStyle revealed that the original caption simply read: “Red (Jake’s Version).”

Although it’s since been changed, a quick scroll through the comments will hint towards the original caption. One person wrote: “is he feeling 22???” and “the caption”, another added “the caption lmao y’all playing a dangerous game” and “Red Shirt, The 22 music video sunglasses!! Jake and Tim Walker woke up and chose violence.”

Honestly, it’s all a bit mad.

When Taylor first released Red (Taylor’s Version), apparently Jake wasn’t too fussed. A source told E! News at the time that he “has no interest in any of it” and “doesn’t read gossip or pay any attention to that.” Before adding, “He’s living his life and focused on himself. He’s ignoring all of the noise.”

But, those sunglasses though??
