This Euphoria Character Was Almost Killed Off In Season 1

It's safe to say the first episode of S2 wouldn't have been the same.

Euphoria season two kicked off this week, we were all expecting big things because there was such a long wait. Luckily for us, they delivered big time.

If you haven’t had the chance to watch it just yet, we won’t spoil it for you here, But what we saw was a new love triangle (love may be a strong word here, but we’ll continue!), a look into how Fez was raised, and of course the shocking ending of the episode.

And it turns out that the beginning of season two could have looked a lot different, as one of the main characters was almost killed off in season one.

Angus Cloud, who plays Fez, revealed in an interview with GQ that the show’s creator, Sam Levinson, originally had plans for Fez to die, but changed his mind thanks to the character’s development in season one.

“I was supposed to die in season one, bro,” Angus said, “I don’t know, but apparently because they cast me off the street, I guess the character of Fezco was [never meant to stick around]. I don’t even know how. I never saw that script. No one ever told me.”

He continued, “It was one day when we were filming the pilot that I think Jacob [Elordi, who plays Nate] told me, he was like, ‘Oh yeah, you didn’t know? Your character gets [imitates gunshot].”

Angus then guessed that Sam Levinson must have “liked what I did and so they decided to keep me alive and let me rock.”

Honestly, we couldn’t imagine the show without Fez now – and season two would have looked a whole lot different.
