TikTok Has Changed Its Length Of Videos

Is TikTok the new YouTube?

How annoying is it when a TikTok is split into 2, 3, 4 different parts? It’s impossible to get the full story and when you can’t find the other parts it’s certainly frustrating.

But now, that’s set to change as the app has increased its maximum video length from 3 minutes to up to 10 minutes.

The reason behind this is to rival other video streaming platform, YouTube. When the app was first launched 60 seconds was the maximum time for a video, last year this was changed to 3 minutes and now less than a year later they’ve added on another 7.

Speaking about the decision and why they chose it, “We’re always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience.” a rep said.

“Last year, we introduced longer videos, giving our community more time to create and be entertained on TikTok. Today, we’re excited to start rolling out the ability to upload videos that are up to 10 minutes, which we hope would unleash even more creative possibilities for our creators around the world.”
