Trending: Gingham

Why just go on a picnic when you can dress like one too?

Who would have thought 2020 would be the year of the picnic? At the beginning of the year we had plans of spending our summer on a sunny Italian beach or spending some time with our family somewhere exciting like Disneyland Paris. But, as we all know the majority of our plans have been turned upside down in recent months, so we’ve swapped beaches and theme parks for our back gardens and local parks – but it’s not all bad.

One clear fashion trend to come out of our current situation is gingham. Probably stemming from all of the picnic’s we’ve been enjoying (when the weather allows it), we’ve been matching our outfits to our blankets and tbh we’re not mad about it.

Lending itself to prairie chic, gingham is the perfect way to add a little feminine touch to your look without having to go all out. The bets part of the trend is that it rarely goes out of fashion, meaning that if you buy yourself a cute gingham piece now, you’ll more than likely be rocking it again next spring/summer too.

Here are some of our favourite gingham pieces to buy now and wear again and again later!
