Once you nail down your go-to makeup look, it can be difficult to stray from. Sure, you’ve got everything down to a tee and you know it suits your skin, your face, and you look fab. Once you branch out into different shades, looks or even products, it can take a bit of getting used to. So you stick to what you know.
But saying that, sometimes it’s great to get out of your comfort zone, and if you’re a fan of neutral tones, what’s more outside the box than blue glitter? This takes a couple more steps than usual, but we promise it’s worth it. We used the Anastacia Beverly Hills x Amrezy palette for this look, but whatever bright shadows you have will work perfectly too, along with some neutral browns and a black.
First up, once you’ve primed your lids, take a warm tan shade to buff through your crease. You can bring this as far out as you like, whatever suits you. Then, take a medium to dark brown and buff it on to the outer corner of your lid, following that up by smudging a black shadow along your lash line, and bringing it slightly up and out to blend into the brown shade.
Then, take your base (we used the P. Louise base here), and pat it along your eyelid, going from the inner corner to a little over half of your lid. If you’re using a pressed glitter, this will make things a lot easier because your base will be slightly tacky, so your shadow will stick easier. Then, pat on the glitter, using either your ring finger or a small flat brush.
Lastly, take the brush you used for the medium brown and blend the brown and the blue together slightly. Pop on your mascara and your lashes if you fancy it, and you’re good to go! Check out our full tutorial below, and let us know in the comments on Instagram what you’d like to see next!
